The current homologated systems for passenger support consist either of a thin belt connected to the passenger seat, or of some sort of handles located on the sides and to the rear of the passenger seat. According to legal regulations, motorcycles must be provided with at least one of these two systems.
Passengers are given four choices when riding on the bike, in order to stay in place: holding the thin belt, clutching the hand grips, keeping the hands on the fuel tank for support, or hanging on to the rider. These solutions are clearly unsatisfactory, as none of them ensure passenger safety, nor do they result comfortable for passenger or rider, especially on long trips.
Vinxxgrips were created in order to solve this problem: Vinxxgrips allow the passenger to be safely and steadily positioned on the bike, preventing falls in case of abrupt increase or decrease of speed. Vinxxgrips significantly reduce swinging and promote synchronized movements between passenger and rider, or with the bike itself.
Furthermore, riders themselves benefit from using Vinxxgrips with their passengers, since bikes become easier to ride and overall safety is enhanced: passengers are no longer unbalanced bulk influenced by forces caused by riding dynamics.
Special Features
Vinxxgrip passenger handgrips are provided with a quick coupling-and-release system both as regards their central body (to be fixed to fuel tank cap) and the grips themselves. Thanks to this system, fixing/unfixing operations are extremely quick and easy, with no needs of tools, even though maximum strength and steadiness are ensured. Once it is set, with its central body fixed, Vinxxgrip system does not affect access to tank for refueling.
Only grey-titanium color is available: a neutral color was purposely chosen in order to have it suitable with any type of bike color and style.
Product Material and Manufacturing Procedure
VINXXGRIP passenger’s handgrips are built in aluminum alloy, by pressure casting. Such material and manufacturing procedure provide advantage to the product in many ways:
1. Mechanical properties equivalent to those of aluminum and brass, but lower melting temperature and greater ease of casting;
2. Size requirements can be better and more accurately fulfilled, product is better finished and its walls can be thinner;
3. Greater strength and hardness.
Additional Features
1. High wear resistance;
2. Excellent load ratings, allowable loads are either moderate but continuous loads (e.g., threaded connections), or intense but short-duration loads;
3. Excellent resistance to corrosion;
